Next Zinc Day Event

The zinc day event planned at the Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi on March 2 has been postponed due to its overlap with other planned activities at the BHU by the organizers. The zinc day event will take place at a later date. The new date will be informed soon here.

3rd International Zinc Symposium
Hyderabad, India, October 10-14, 2011

International Zinc Association and International Fertilizer Industry Association in cooperation with Fertiliser Association of India  and HarvestPlus have organized the 3rd International Zinc Symposium to discuss and highlight the global importance of zinc deficiency problem in crop production and human populations.  The objectives of the symposium are to provide new and updated information on zinc deficiency in soils, crop nutrition and human populations, review the best agricultural practices in addressing zinc deficiency and discuss impact of zinc deficiency on global crop production and human health.  Distinguished keynote speakers have been invited and internationally well recognized scientists are expected to deliver speeches on the following conference topics:

  • Human Nutrition
  • Soil and Crop Management
  • Zinc Fertilizers and Crop Nutrition
  • Plant Physiology
  • Plant Breeding and Molecular Biology
  • Environmental Issues

The symposium will be held in Hyderabad on 10-14 October, 2011, and the deadline for abstract submission is 30 April, 2011.
